Rev. Mechelle Massiah - Her Story
Rev. Mechelle was born into the United Pentecostal Council and from a child had a special love for the Lord and His House at the Mayer's Road Church where her mother was an Evangelist. She gave her heart to the Lord as a teenager and was baptized in water in July 1975.
Rev. Mechelle firmly believes that she was born to serve the Lord and felt the call of God on her life from a young age. She has always identified with the prophet Jeremiah and believes she has been called with a special message to the Church. As a result, she has always been willing to work wherever needed and has faithfully served in every area of the church; starting from the janitorial level.
Revy Rev (her camp name) as she is affectionately known by the young people of the Barbados District is a gifted individual who never hesitates to use her talents for the glory of God and the uplifting of both her church and the wider District.
She has great faith in God and that faith has allQwed ·her to -see- God working mightily in the-healing- of both body and soul. She loves' the Lord with every-fibre of her being and it is her desire to allow nothing to separate her from that love.
Rev. Massiah is a graduate of the Barbados Bible College where she received a diploma in Theology and the University of the West Indies where she majored in History. She has lectured at the Immanuel Bible School and currently holds the position of 1st Vice President in the Barbados District.
She has a special love for teaching and is rewarded when she sees people, especially young Christians growing spiritually as they are taught the Word of God and apply it.
It is her wish that God will continue to use her mightily as she continues to make herself available to Him. It is her prayer that God's people would let His Word move from their heads to their hearts, allowing its transforming power to reach through them and touch lives enslaved by sin.
Rev. Massiah is a powerful woman of God whom the Lord has raised up "for such a time as this" to "root out, pull down, destroy, throw down, to build and to plant."
